Ten quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers about topping up a nol card online with our Dubai desk.

How long does the top-up take to show on my card?

Once the card payment clears on the next page, the balance is added to your nol card so you can tap in at your next station or bus stop. Bank confirmation depends on your issuer and typically ranges from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. If a top-up is not showing after a fair wait, tap in and out at the gate to force a sync, or contact us with the order number.

What amounts can I choose?

The preset chips are AED 30, 40, 50, 100 and 150. If you need something else, type a custom whole amount between AED 10 and AED 500. We work in whole dirhams only, which keeps receipts clean and easier to match with your bank statement later.

Which cards are accepted?

Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the secure payment page. Cards from other networks show a short "not supported" message so you know to try a different card. Debit cards work if they are enabled for online payments by your issuer.

Do I need to sign in or create an account?

No. TopUpNol does not run a login on this site. Bring the 10-digit tag ID on the back of the card, choose an amount and add an email for the receipt. That is enough to complete a top-up.

Where do I find the tag ID?

Turn the card over. Ten digits are printed near the top edge, above the plastic strip. That is the tag number. If you cannot read it clearly, hold it under a bright light — the digits are engraved lightly.

Will I get a receipt?

Yes. A confirmation email with the order number, amount and tag ID is sent as soon as the payment goes through. Save that email or add support@topupnolcard.org to your contacts so future receipts do not land in spam.

What if my payment fails?

You see an error page and your card is not charged. Sometimes the bank blocks the first attempt as a precaution — waiting a minute and retrying usually works. If the second attempt also fails, try a different card or contact us.

Can I get a refund?

See the refund page for the full policy. In short: failed payments are never charged, so no refund is needed. If a successful top-up landed on the wrong tag, write to support with the order number and we will look into it.

Is TopUpNol the transit operator?

No. TopUpNol is an independent Dubai desk that helps riders top up the nol transit card online. The card, the fare rules and the actual travel are managed by the transit operator — we only forward the top-up amount and send you a receipt.

How do I reach support?

Email support@topupnolcard.org, call +971 4 385 6207, or message us on WhatsApp at +971 55 314 2087. Include the order number if you have one — that is the fastest path to an answer.
